Casually walking along a city street, taking a moment to gaze into the eyes of a loved one can be disastrous given the urban dangers of pickpockets, scam artists, random violent attacks and stepping in dog poo.
On Wednesday 23rd June Evernote.com organised worldwide Meetups for Evernote users. We were going to meet at the Royal Festival Halls, but it was closed at the last minute for a private function so 7 of us meet at Starbucks near Embankment Tube. They were @mled @marwoodchap @jeikenberry @oldsweetshop @gprior @jgeitner and @colinmccarthy
Next Wednesday 23rd June I am off to the Evernote Meetup at the Royal Festival Halls in London. Should be an enjoyable evening with other fans of the Evernote notetaking/keeping application and online service. I have to admit I am a bit of an Evernote fan boy and this event gives me the prefect chance to wear my new Evernote T-Shirt.
This is just a test post after I successfully updated Drupal with the Drush scripts. Although before I do that again I should work out a proper backup plan.
Hopefully also Disqus comments are working. I've installed, activated and configured the module so it should work. right?
My final thoughts on the HTC Hero running Spotify and Skype on the Three network.
More of my views on the HTC Hero, this time covering browsing the web, sending email and installing Android Apps.
On Monday 10th May at 3.43pm I was listening to a program on Radio 4 called 'Satire: The Great British Tradition' when a person interviewed on the pre-recorded program said 'bullshit'. This program is available online http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00s7vs4 and the swearing happens at 56mins of the 58mins program.
I am not a prude but I do not appreciate hearing swearing on the radio, especially at 3.45pm. I called the BBC to complain but they said there is no watershed for radio so they can say what they like.
I've had the HTC Hero for a while now and used it as my main phone. The HTC Hero has some good and bad points and here I talk about how it operates as a phone and for sending text messages.
I have been lent a phone by http://www.3mobilebuzz.com/ to test, review or just simply try out. Instead of writing about it I'm going to do some short videos about my experience.
I am currently suffering from the most terrible and debilitating lust to buy something new. It is an all consuming feeling that compels me to have multiple tabs open researching everything I can about the item I now desire. What makes it worse is the overwhelming range on offer, there is no perfect device so it's a case of working through in my mind the pros and cons of each one. Item A has this, but item B does not have that but is cheaper, do I need that? What's my use case? I don't have a use case, I just want one. Must fight 'Click Finish' to purchase button.
